The university entrance test will be replaced by a continuous evaluation in Iparralde
  • While in Hego Euskal Herria it is planned to maintain the selectivity, the students of Ipar Euskal Herria will not have to do the lower in any case. The French Minister of Education has stated that there are no requirements for the university entrance test and the average grade that the student has during the course will be taken into account.

“It is impossible for the bass to be done under the conditions of other years,” said Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer, who said that they have made the decision not to harm the students. “The aim is to ensure quality and equal opportunities.”

This will take into account the average score of the continuous evaluation. In addition, the process of learning during confinement shall not be taken into account for the grade. On 13 March, schools in the French State were closed, according to Europa Press. Second year students of the lyceum will have to take a single exam: the French oral.

Selectivity, June-July

The selectivity test is maintained in Hegoalde. The examinations will be held at the end of June in Navarre, and at the beginning of July in the CAV. Always knowing that dates can be delayed depending on the evolution of the coronavirus crisis.

It appears that radical change in the learning process during confinement, imbalances in household resources and the need to adapt the curriculum and the teaching model are not sufficient reasons to curb selectivity. They have stated that the exam will adapt to the reality of the course and that it will be flexible for the students.

United Kingdom, also suspended

On the other hand, the United Kingdom has announced that there will be no pre-university tests this year. The qualification will be supplemented by the opinion of the faculty, by the results obtained by the student to date and by the results obtained by the center in previous years.
