Ugao suffers an "anti-fascist disinfection" after turning his back on Rivera
  • Citizens, leaders of the Spanish and right-wing parties, participated in another media event of the election campaign on Thursday in Ugao-Miraballes. Unlike Alsasua and Errenteria, no altercation has been registered, many citizens have responded silently and backwards, and then there has been an "anti-fascist disinfection", according to sources from the Department.

Albert Rivera exercised this Thursday in Ugao-Miraballes (Madrid), at noon. The town has been chosen by C`s to hold an act in memory of former ETA leader Josu Urrutikoetxea, according to sources of right-wing formation.

However, the people of Ugao have responded with a great banner in which they read "you are not welcome" and slogans against the fascists and as members of Citizens pass, the shops have lowered their blinds and turned their backs on them.

They have also made a lot of noise with sirens and other devices installed in different parts of the city so as not to hear what was being said on the spot. Following the speeches of the European Parliament candidate, Maite Pagazaurtundua, Rivera said that: "Know one thing, we'll come whenever we want, and get ready, we'll ban tributes to your terrorist friends."

Subsequently, in an atmosphere of humor and parody, several disguised citizens have begun to "disinfect" the area:

The City Hall of Ugao-Miraballes has denounced that Citizens wanted to "create a climate of confrontation" with the act, "as it was already done in other places".

On 14 April there were incidents in Errenteria when the Ertzaintza attacked the citizens to open the way to Citizens’ cars and the Gipuzkoa prosecutor’s office has sued nine people for a complaint filed by Rivera.
