This week the Gaztetxe de Vitoria celebrates its 35th anniversary. Workshops, open dishes, games, food, mural painting and concerts throughout the week, as has been common since 1988.

However, the main festival on Saturday counted on the visit of the Municipal Guard. Around 17:30, after lunch, several patrols of the Municipal Guard have appeared in the Gaztetxe, informing those present that the music was “very high” and that the organization of concerts is “forbidden”. In addition, they have arrested the sound technician working on sound tests, accused of having ‘attacked the agents’.

The Municipal Guard has warned that if the program continues they will reappear. However, dozens of people have gathered in the assembly and decided to continue the festival by calling Gaztetxe and defending space. If the police do not prevent it, starting at 19:30 the Sound Riders and Skabidean reggae groups will be on the stage and, finally, the DJs.
