- Txillardegi Udal Liburutegia Herri Ekimena, as every year, will hold an act of recognition to the Donostian politician, linguist and writer. Once again, the San Sebastian General Municipal Library will be asked for its name.
On 14 January it is twelve years since the death of José Luis Alvarez Enparantza Txillardegi. On that day, at 12:00, the event will be held in the Old Quarter of San Sebastian, in the plaza that has been given its name, although its official name is the Plaza de Gascuina.
& '97; Activities &' 97; Always firmly. will have the title. Txillardegi Udal Liburutegia Herri Ekimena explained that in the Old Town there will be Kike Amonarriz and a representative of Euskaraz in the Basque Country. There will be talk of the contribution of Txillardegi and the aggression currently being suffered by Basque speakers.
Besides the quotes, there will be music, bertsos and aurresku to honor the Donostiarra thinker and linguist.

In December 2013, various cultural agents requested the San Sebastian General Municipal Library the name Biblioteca Txillardegi. They started the accession campaign. To promote the initiative, in 2017 the Txillardegi Herri Ekimena Municipal Library was created and to date an event has been organized in honor of the Donostiarra and the new name of the library has been claimed.
