The final of the Bertsolaris Championship in Álava was held in Vitoria-Gasteiz on Saturday afternoon. On the stage, a lot of stones and finalists representing the path of Alavese bertsolarism:

With the help of presenter Arantxa Sobrino and Aintzane Irazusta, the six bertsolaris ended the qualifying exercises and Manex Agirre and Peru Abarrategui took the lead. After playing the last exercises between the two, Abarrategui became the Alavese champion of the year 2022.
The jury of the final consisted of five judges: Fernando Sopelana, Aitor Jiménez, Ekaitz Elorriaga, Manex Garaio and Mikel Fernández de Arroiabe. He served as Secretary Endika Jimenez. Thus the 6 bertsolaris scored:

Serapio López saw the txapela to the champion. With a career in Alavese bertsolarism since 1982, he is one of the founders of the first bertsolaris schools in Álava. Since then he has served as bertsolari, professor and organizer. In the end of 2017 he sang for the last time at the Alavés Championship in Bertsolaris. The Association of Bertsolarism Fans of Álava wanted to thank them for their trajectory.
The awards of the 2022 Bertsolaris Alavés Championship were the agents that drive Euskera and culture in Álava and that collaborate in some way in the world of Bertsolaris, in order to thank them for their work: ALEA communication group in Álava, Gazte Asanblada de Legutiano, Ttiki Tttaka Euskal Elkartea de Rioja Alavesa, Aiaraldea Ekintzak Faktoria, Zalduondo Kultur Elkartea and Mendialdeko AEK.
