Review the evolution of COVID-19 in wastewater from Tudela, Vitoria and Bilbao
  • The Spanish Government will carry out an observation in wastewater and bathing areas to detect the presence of COVID-19 in the area. To this end, it shall make available to users several sampling stations. In the case of Hego Euskal Herria, the wastewater analysis stations will be located in Tudela, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao. The bathing area of Ullibarri-Gamboa, where a new station has been installed, will also be studied, with three bathrooms.

The Department for the Ecological Transition of the Spanish Government will initiate microbiological observation in wastewater and bathing areas. In the case of bathing areas, one of the points to follow is that of Ullibarri-Gamboa, and samples shall be taken for three months, two per month.

In addition to this observation initiated by the Spanish Government, the Department for the Ecological Transition says that each autonomous community is carrying out its own analyses. That everyone uses their own method and that they will work on ways to make comparisons between them.
