The trial was held on 21 and 22 June and the resolution has arrived: The Court does not accept measures involving the destruction of jobs because "there is not enough reason to present the case and dismiss the workers". The works council has argued that the timely situation caused by the pandemic cannot be turned into dismissal of workers.
Appeal
The management of the company has announced that it will re-admit the workers, but that it will file an appeal with the High Court of Justice in Madrid. The Directorate does not understand why "the Oil&Gas sector has substantially changed the business model generated by the energy transition and decarbonisation".
Forceful fighting
The workers began an indefinite strike last February, and have since stood firm in the fight for their rights. The actions and pickets that have been carried out are known, and the Ertzaintza has acted against them on several occasions.
