In June, the Bilbao courts will welcome the evictions of the Tubacex group, which were tried this Monday. In principle, the case file of TTI will be judged on 21, while the next day the judge will examine the case of Aceralava.
These are important dates, no doubt, because they can change the direction of the labor conflict. But, in principle, it must be borne in mind that in the short term they do not have to affect the strike.
The Tubacex workers have already surpassed the 100-day strike on Friday, but both the trade unions and the company have announced that they will appeal if the judgment is contrary to their interests. It is therefore still possible for redundancies to be extended for several months in the legal framework.
The judgments will coincide in time with the meeting of the shareholders' meeting of the multinational. Last week, the management announced its intention to hold the meeting on 23 June.
