On Thursday they will make the first day of strike and have called a demonstration that will depart from the Llodio factory at 18:00 in the afternoon.
ELA has been against these redundancies by way of a note: “We believe the company wants to take advantage of an interim situation to justify layoffs, COVID-19.” In addition, they accuse him of “blackmailing” saying that “the wages were lowered to the workers or 150 would be laid off.” The union recalled that in 2019, before the health crisis, the company distributed among its shareholders six million euros in prizes.
They have asked the company, its shareholders and the Government of Lakua, among others, to "withdraw the dossier of redundancies and draw up an industrial plan for all Tubacex workers".
