Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle declared at the congress: “Trying to kill former President Donald Trump on July 13 is the biggest mistake the Secret Service has had for decades.”

Congressional politicians ask Cheatle to answer the questions raised. Many of them have called for the director to resign because of the lack of answers and have criticised the lack of evidence. Others have taken the time to bring the debate on the weapons that are being carried out to the table.

Attack of 13 July

The attack took place in the village of Butler, Pennsylvania, where the former president participated in a meeting in which he also participated. The person who tried to murder Donald Trump was a 20-year-old boy, who has been arrested by the police. The shooting occurred about 140 metres away from the former President of the White House, according to the same sources. The agents of the Secret Juvenile Criminal Investigation Service killed the young aggressor in the act. Several witnesses alerted the police to the presence of an armed person on site two minutes before the shooting.
