The event is organised by the City Hall of Amasa-Villabona, in cooperation with the Bertsozale Elkartea Association. In fact, the Casa Subijana, now the home of the Bertsolarism Amateurs Association, was a textile factory between 1880 and 1960. It was attended by a large number of workers from the region, many of them women and Fanny Alonso have made a bilaneo about them in the Kotoiaren emakumeak project: She interviewed 18 working women from the Subijana textile factory, as well as the textile factories of Andoain and Bergara.

There was a thread between the fabric workshops and the verse, long before Subijana Etxea performed the residential function. The presence of working women in these workshops has been observed, including Aña Etxegarai and Joxepa Antoni Aranbarri Xenpelar, among others.
