The majority of the Italian population, 95% of those controlled by the police, have respected the containment measures. Several provinces of the State have allowed citizens to play sport on the streets, provided that they have not moved more than 200 metres away from their homes. However, they have denounced that insults to those on the street are becoming more frequent.
Tension is noticeable in Italy, where some criticise not taking security measures, others criticise buying too much food in supermarkets. Eugenia Tognotti, professor of medical history at the University of Sassari (Sardinia), explains in URL0 that it is common for the spread of the epidemic to be accused of someone.
Luca Pezzulo, an emergency psychologist, has been reaffirmed in his theory and in today's program. “Our mind, especially in complex situations, tends to find the only one responsible for the problem: the black sheep, the person who is used to channel the anger.”
Threat of staying at home
After the call to stay at home, the Italians have been locked in their homes for three weeks. Although the psychological effects of confinement begin to manifest, it does not affect all of them to stay at home equally. There are people who for them are the threat of staying at home.
The case of autistic people, for example. Alberto Danieli, a child neuropsychiatrist, said that it is good for them to have a structured routine. Measures are therefore planned for escorts and persons with this type of problem in several Italian provinces.
But for some people, the threat is the same one that stays at home, with the women who are with their perpetrators. The Italian Carabinieri point out that there has been a decline in the number of complaints of ill-treatment in March compared to last year, and that this is because women are unable to report it. The houses of the women have also been concerned, do not receive calls and have labeled as "creepy" what happens in the Basque Country.
On the street you can't and telematically
It is clear that the number of incidents on the street has fallen, forced by the state of lockdown. However, violence has not gone down. Experts say that violence on the Internet has increased, from fraud to paedophilia.
However, there have been fights in the streets, and this is the case of the man who has been killed in the town of Fondi. The deceased is a man who, because of the number of infections in that locality, has not been able to leave the village and prevented a neighbor from leaving.
The economy is also throwing
In addition to the psychology of society, the pandemic has also had a major impact on the economy. Some of the country’s supermarkets are already in police custody, as they have tried to commit several burglaries in the capital. People complain about the damage they can do to their economy to stay home, because many of them don't have benefits while they're at home. Likewise, Pezzullo has added that these behaviors are "linked to the processes that primitive human beings have in situations of risk". People are frightened and violent to think they won't have enough food.
