The area of Urban Security of the City of Pamplona explains that from today the Municipal Police of Pamplona will have one more weapon: Taser guns model T7. These pistols are used to disable and stop people by electric shocks. They are classified as Electrical Control Devices (DEC) and become "complementary to the daily work of agents" in Pamplona. In fact, the agents will use electric pistols "when the progressive use of violence is necessary", and the Urban Safety Chiefs affirm that they are "totally safe", arguing that "the intensity of this apparatus can be gradually increased or decreased, depending on the physical characteristics of the people".

The T7 pistols are smart devices that seem to have a personal camera connected at all times when a police officer takes out the taser gun. The agents who are going to use these weapons will take a training course, after which they will have a year of use permit. According to the regulations of the Municipal Guard, agents carrying electric pistols must be patrolling and circulating scattered.

Taser pistols have been used by municipal police officers in Peralta (Navarra) at least four times before. It appears that the Foral Police and the Tafalla and Egüés Valley Agents also intend to acquire this weapon.
