LAB reports that Superberria, a MI franchise, has condemned EUR 28,533.57 for harassment and violation of a worker's right to physical and moral integrity.
One worker reported that he had been harassed at work by the store owner of the Casco Viejo bilbaíno supermarket chain. Now, according to the ruling, “it was not an episodic behavior, but those activities that, due to their importance, may violate the psychic and psychological resources of the worker”.
In fact, the head of the shop imposed a disproportionate and unjustified penalty on the worker. As a result of these facts, the worker is in a situation of temporary incapacity with psychological treatment.
Consequently, the Social Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country states that it violates the right to physical and moral integrity of the worker. In addition, the company's failure to comply with the obligations to protect the worker has also led to the violation of the work contract with the consequent violation of the worker's right to health.
The High Court of Justice strongly condemns the BM franchise with a fine of EUR 28,533,67.
