Skolae is a project that was implemented last year in 16 schools in Navarra. It is an educational programme based on full equality. The Government of Navarra received very good criticism at a co-education conference held in Madrid before the start of the school year, and has managed to be in place in more schools. The Navarre right does not agree with the decision of the Foral Community.

The Minister of Education of Navarra, María Solana, has been in need of escort since June. In this regard, he has denounced that he has received "constant threats" that have already become "unacceptable". His cabinet has also been attacked, although so far he has not said: “We found our office three times painted with fascist messages and threats.” In any event, the group will continue to work "hard" for a "multilingual and high-quality, egalitarian and multilingual" education.

The latest attack, in Huarte

Yesterday morning, International Day against Violence against Women, a wall full of demands for Huarte’s equality was awakened with painted homophobes. In red letters you could read messages like this: “Skolaeri ez, corruption of the classrooms out”, “no to gender ideology”, “no to paedophilia” and “no to the corrupt lobby, that is, to the gay and feminist lobbys”, among others.

“Witch hunt”

UPN and pp have denounced that a “witch hunt” has been initiated, according to El Diario.es. On November 15, UPN, with the support of PP, started the identification of those who fought for the legalization and implementation of the Skolae program. The request has been sent to the House of Navarra, where it is currently located. They want to know what relationship they have with the government and with external associations, what qualifications they have and what they have worked on in the past. On the other hand, it is also intended to “capture” the main internal leaders of the Government of Navarra.

Church behaviour

Several sectors of the Church have also been opposed to the project. In this sense, there are priests who have organized two conferences in Navarra, one at CASCANTE and another at Ablitas, justifying the families that it is a “grave error” to defend the Skolae project.
