And so came Olatz Salvador, from the giants to the center of the stage, accompanied by the band. Protected behind the guitar, he had taken as an exit shield the sweetest part of his voice. Inside the fish there were mermaid chants. And the stupid listeners, standing in chairs arranged in a straight and orderly way inside the fish tank, not knowing what to do: applaud, smile, dance. Sometimes we are like this, obsessed sailor, incapable of reacting.
In several interviews, Salvador has pointed out that his first album is delicate and with many details, and that he will now see the light. But oh, the mermaid's songs always have some misleading. He also knows that sweetness is fine, but it's not enough, and that his voice is the same age as the goat's delight. So, he soon revealed what he had hidden, leaving the guitar aside and dancing from one side to the other, making it his own. With the micron in hand, now seriously, he was now heading smiling to the band that holds the project for being in the shade and supporting the concert to the Pamplona crew.
Next steps:
June: 15 in Anuntzeta and 16 in Tolosa.
July: 11 in Bilbao BBK Live.
And so Salvador presented us the songs of the album Zintzilik, which have gone through the lives of the audience through intimate compositions, and also gladly offered us the versions chosen for the concert, as well as a new and not new song. He made it clear that he does not like his music to be easily classified and that he wants to share many of its aspects: sweetness and strength, songs that come from the pope to the anglerfish, songs with electronic touches and letters accompanied by simple guitar, from impossible rapids to serious notes, all transitions.
And while all of this happens onstage, what about colorful fish? You'll ask, where we were, if we put ourselves in the chairs and we started dancing with Olatz and the band, if we created hurricanes in the nursery. They tried it really, and they said it over and over again (ask it!) To put myself aside and start dancing, I must say with great disappointment that I do not. We're still stupid fish, singing the mermaid, civic in the city of giants. See if when you return to Navarre we grow up with you under the tab. No tiered chairs or tall releases, please.
