On 15 January, the Basque Government Education Minister, Begoña Pedrosa, signed a provision authorizing the abolition of the Erain School Primary Education stage and the expansion of four units in Secondary Education.

The Department of Education of the Basque Country decided in 2023, under the auspices of the Lomloe, not to finance the centres that separated children, the provision has been the last confirmation of the integration process. Former Basque Education Advisor Jokin Bildarratz said they could understand that families could be in favor of this educational model, but they could not fund it.

So far in Eskibel College in Donostia-San Sebastian only studied girls, and in Irun, the boys of Erain will meet the next curso.Segun reported Francisco Caballero, director of the Erain-Eskibel Center, Secondary Education and Baccalaureate will be taught in Irun, and Education Ostia-Donsan Primary.

The change in the educational model in the educational centers of Eskibel and Erain began in the course 23/24. In elementary school they started to mix girls and boys, and in the 24/25 course this change has also spread to the 2nd course. But when it arrives, all classes will be mixed.
