The association of ikastolas Seaska will have its fifth school in Senpere (Lapurdi). Construction works have been underway since December, and expect the next course to be incorporated into the first students, who are the second-year students. They've presented 40. Herri Urrats and the money obtained since 14 May will go to the College of Senpere.

There are currently four schools in Iparralde: one in Baiona, one in Ziburu and one in Kanbo (Lapurdi) and one in Larzabal (Nafarroa Behera). Those responsible for the ikastolas have explained that although these buildings have been extended in recent years, the schools are saturated and the fifth is necessary.

According to the newspaper, the work will be divided into two parts, so that the first students take it as soon as possible. Thus, the next course will be able to receive classes in Senpe 80-85, with two classes of 6 and two of 5.

At first they want to create a space for 150 students, and then the goal is to be able to reach 300. Sara, Azkaine, Ahetze, Arrangoitz and Senpere will meet.

Next to the lake

The town of Senpere gave the plot to Seaska, between the lake and the Amezpetu district. During weekends and holidays the school hostel will remain open to the town. They also provide for each year to store Herri Urrats' material around Lake Senpere.
