This is the fourth sentence imposed this year by the National Court on the Basque dam Marixol Iparragirre: He has been sentenced to 46 years ' imprisonment for the murder of two persons in May 1987 and for the placement of an explosive device and for causing damage to Eskoriatza. The court finds it proven that Iparragirre has been able to put the bomb together with four other people at the scene of the event.

This is the fourth case in the list of sanctions imposed on the prisoner since the beginning of the year. Last February, the National High Court confirmed the conviction of 122 years in prison imposed last July by the Supreme Court in 1995 for the murder of Spanish Army Commander Luciano Cortizo in 1995.

The Prosecutor’s Office also requested that Iparragirre be convicted of belonging to an armed band, but considering that he had already served his sentence in France for this reason, the judge has denied the petition.
