Sarako Idazleen Biltzarra to be held on 10 and 11 April
  • This year is the 39th edition of the Behobia-San Sebastián. On 10 April it will open its doors to the general public, and on 11 will open its doors to professionals in general. The prize of the congress will fall on the anthropologist Mikel Duvert and the writer and journalist Luzien Etxezaharreta, author of the homonymous novel. The day of the professionals will be dedicated to the study of the Basque oral literature.

Although in the last two years the situation of COVID-19 has conditioned the holding of the Assembly of Writers of Sara, on this occasion it has reached its usual time, to be held on 10 and 11 April.

On Sunday there will be several talks and round tables, as you can see in the program:

On Monday the oral literature to be examined

The day for professionals will start at 9:00 and the first talk will be by Xabi Paya: Basque Oral Literature: genres and examples.

At 14.00 in the afternoon, Gotzon Barandiaran and Rafa Rueda will offer a talk and colloquium in which they will analyze the present day.

15:30 hours Patxi Urkizu Sarako Jaiak (1864-1885): There will be a talk about the Floral Games, the bertso-paperak and the most relevant contextual of the city.
