- On Wednesday afternoon Gotzone Sagardui of the Basque Government appeared before the scandal of recent days. It has recently been known that the managers of Basurto and Santa Marina took the vaccine without following the protocol established according to the health criteria, and the health officer has indicated that he did not know anything until it began to spread. The opposition has described as scandalous the fact that in Basurto they also held four senior and sixteen inadequate positions in Santa Marina.
The Basque Government Health Advisor, Gotzone Sagastui, has explained the vaccine scandal and the most serious irregularities so far, including vaccination in the hospitals of Basurto and Santa Marina, without registering. Last week Eduardo Maiz and José Luis Sabas had to leave office.
Sagardui has reported that four people from religious services, four members of unions with a meeting presence, four from the company that manages the cafeteria, two from the courier company and two from the company that manages vending machines have been attended in the hospital of Basurto and in the hospital of Santa Marina.
Sagastui has not confirmed the names of the unions, although ElDiario.es has indicated that they are affiliated with ELA, Satse, UGT and CCOO.
In Basurto, moreover, Sagastui has reported that the LABI member, Ana Collazo, has also been vaccinated, but "as a care person, not an administrative person". Therefore, the Health Advisor wanted to leave out the case of scams on Basque prisoners.
