If, in order to provide a public service, it is a matter of putting one’s own interests before those of the public, in addition to the fact that there is a wide range of possibilities for employment outside this public service, the Administration should socialise the understanding of the public. They are using public services to marginalise a large part of the population and to harm their health, and they want to harm us even more.

Language rights are not confronted with labour rights. There are tax and reactionary workers who are confronted with the Basque people. Two official languages (for now), a single public service, with a high level of quality endorsed by scientific evidence. It is the workers who oppose these criteria, the majority of the trade unions, agents and parties in power, who turn us into second-division workers and citizens.

In addition to being a serious insult to Basque health workers, it is a demonstration of strength against vasco-speaking patients. We are second-level citizens who cannot (and cannot) receive (and provide) services in our language (supposedly in the official language). What is called ultraderecha is not hidden outside Euskal Herria, and it is aggressive with its racism, classism and impositions. In an already serious situation, there is always the possibility of taking steps backwards. If not organized, if not dealt with. It is time for a service to enable us Basques to have decent health care. Health workers against Basques, health workers for patients.
