Protest in Iruñea against the bulls of San Fermin
- The protest is organized by Animals Naturalis and PETA, in the Town Hall Square at 12:00, one day before the beginning of the festivities. Activists from Navarra, Spain and Europe will meet. The demonstration is part of the “Sanfermin without blood” campaign of Animal Naturalis.

The entities Animals Naturaliz and PETA will carry out the activity this afternoon in the Plaza Municipal de Pamplona. Cristina Ibáñez, representative of AnimalsNaturalis, has denounced that “the religious authorities and institutions are promoting and financing the suffering of bulls”.
According to data from the Ministry of Culture, in 2018 bullring fell by 58.4% since 2007. Data indicate that interest in the runs is decreasing. They have been abolished in Catalonia and the Canary Islands, and in many other places they have remained as minority shows.
