On Sunday afternoon, relatives of the preso Pamplona Olga Comes suffered a traffic accident after visiting him in Villabona prison (Asturias). That is why Geroa Bai, EH Bildu, Podemos and Left Ezkerra have brought to the Bureau and the Board of Spokesmen of the Parliament of Navarra an institutional statement on the occasion of this anniversary.

The institutional declaration of the Real Sociedad consists of three points. Only one, the second, with the votes in favour of the SNP, has been put forward. This second point points out that in Parliament “a new penitentiary policy is necessary to avoid the fulfillment of the sentence away from the places in which it is rooted, both family and social, so as to facilitate the relationship with the relatives and people close to it”.

The other two points have not been accepted, as Navarre Suma and the PSN voted against. In the first point, Paraíso showed “its solidarity with the people close to the Navarra dam Olga Comes who have suffered an accident due to the policy of remoteness, as well as those who suffer the policy of remoteness and who are forced to travel hundreds of kilometers in order to visit nearby people”.

The third point they have rejected says that the foral parliament wants the Government of Navarre “to make the necessary efforts so that the prisoners residing in Navarre can be in the prison of Pamplona”.
