An earthquake of 4.6 degrees on the Richter scale and numerous aftershocks shook Navarra
  • An earthquake of 4.6 degrees and several aftershocks have rocked Navarre this Monday, October 1, and have affected the region. The seismic movement has taken place at 00:02 hours, and the epicenter has been located in the village of Lizoainibar-Arriasgioti.

On 1 October there were four earthquakes with epicenter in Lizoainibar-Arriasgiotin (Navarra): The first and fastest, 4.6 degrees on the Richter scale, has taken place at 00:02, followed by a tremor of 4.4 degrees and another two of 3.8 and 3.4 degrees.

In recent weeks, dozens of earthquakes have been recorded in the same area, although the latter have been the most intense in the area.

As the Government of Navarre has reported, earthquakes have mainly felt in Pamplona and nearby towns, and have not caused significant damage, although they have generated concern among the citizens.
