"The Spaniards know that we have gone from being in the second place to winning, with more votes and more seats," he said: "40 of the 52 provinces and autonomous communities have dominated, and in the Senate we will probably get an absolute majority."

"We have never grown with this intensity; we have increased in number of votes and seats, while the coalition government has remained the same." The followers gathered on Genova Street in Madrid have often cut off Feijóo's quote, "President. President! "Oa Feijóó a la Moncloa!" or with slogans like "Vote Txapote."

The head of the PP points out that the party has achieved what a year and a half ago seemed impossible due to the "crisis" that it lived. In this regard, he appreciates the confidence shown by the party members, the regional presidents and the voters.

Obligation, opening of dialogue

Feijóo added that his main obligation is to open a phase of dialogue, as he has won the elections, "to try to govern our country". He says he's "lifelong" listening to citizens. "With humility, but with courage, I will open the dialogue, driven by the majority will of the Spaniards".

"May no one be tempted to try to block Spain," continues the PP president. "Not putting ourselves in government, as the most voted party, would be a blockade. I ask the party that has lost the elections, the PSOE, not to block Spain. In Spain it has always ruled the most voted party."

Finally, he orders that if he is appointed president, the electoral law should be amended so that they are not repeated in July or August.
