Since the beginning of the confinement, images of citizens who take care of the balconies of their neighbours have been disseminated on several occasions. More and more people are told by the police what the neighbour is doing or what he has stopped doing. And messages against these attitudes are also multiplying, as evidenced by posters and illustrations disseminated on social networks.
These are messages against the police and the ‘chibatos’ of the balconies. Most respondents appeal not to collaborate with the police and to take care of the area's neighbors. There are citizens who want to make a complaint, but against those who feel guilty of the situation: against employers and political leaders who send their workers without security measures to work, against those who have cut health services in recent years, against those who have put the big infrastructures ahead of social services... “You have a job, right? Now, stop making the dog, please!” concludes one of those messages. “We can’t all do containment the same way.”
