The armed party Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) announces a truce on Thursday in Turkey not to interfere with the rescues being carried out due to the earthquake. "We have ordered our armed forces to stop military action in Turkish cities and metropolises," said Cemil Bayi, leader of the PKK at ANF.

Rescues are being prolonged in Turkey after an earthquake, groups and citizens have reported. It is very cold and Bayike warns that if citizens do not leave waste as soon as possible, they may freeze to death. "We should all mobilize to save our people."

The head of the CCP adds that the truce of his party will last "until the pain of the people and heal the wounds" and that if there is an attack the Kurds will defend themselves.
