The Piztu Bilbo movement has painted in red the motto ‘Piztu Bilbo, extinguishes the city of showcase’ in the windows of an office of the tourist apartment management company People Rentals “Holiday Rentals”. The activity took place last Tuesday. The company has been accused of being "one of the forces behind gentrification processes in many neighborhoods of the city".
The Movement, for its part, has denounced "the turistification, gentrification and commercialization of public space" with these painted in general. In this regard, Piztu Bilbo organised a kalejira on 30 March. At 20:30 they will depart from Plaza de Unamuno to reclaim “the neighborhoods and another way of living the city.”
