The Feminist Culture Festival Feministaldia reaches its 14th edition, under the slogan “Pills”. The festival organized by Plazandreok has been offering a broad program from Sunday, December 8, and until December 14 there is a lot to listen and see.

The activities of last Sunday and Monday have been carried out in the Tabakalera film hall, while in the coming days it will be held at the Young Kontadores Centre. “This city has many different spaces and Feministaldia, recalling this peripheral and marginal character of its beginnings (years of Arteleku, among others), has kept the challenge of this change,” said the organizers. At a press conference on Wednesday, they announced that they had chosen to "go back to the peripheries".

Following the line established so far, the Feministaldia of this year also wants to be a meeting point of voices, creations and discourses related to feminist culture today. This fourteenth edition, however, has some peculiarities: They've put it as a motto, "Pills."

In the motto “Pills, there are several topics that will be worked on”, the organizers explained. These issues will be related to mental health, transsexuality or prostitution. The intention, as you have indicated, is to raise the possibility of a vulnerability.

They have prepared a very comprehensive programme. Between 12 and 14 December, Kontadores will host conferences, performances, round tables, theatres and endless activities. Guests include: Nancy Garín, Susana Talayero, Leire Aranberri, Ce Quimera, Elena/Urko PostOp, Iraitz Agirre Aranguren, Marta Malo, Irene Bitxats, Sam Fernández, Diego Genderhacker, Sabrina Michelle Sanchez, María Zapata, Marta Minell and Suell.

The festival, which will be held in the Mogambon Hall, will close this week’s programme. On Saturday, from 22:00 hours, La Basu, Folkaraoke and Sobria&Serena Dj will enliven the closing party.
