The surreal measures proposed in the UK to control and stifle migrants have no limits. This summer they have become floating jails for the retention of migratory realities and recently another of the measures included in the proposals has been announced: Electronic tracking with GPS devices to people migrating "unregulated" to the UK.

The objective of this measure that the Ministry of the Interior has on the table is, according to the Government, to control migrants who are not joining the centres so that they do not escape. Minister Suella Braverman also pointed to the need to increase the "detention capacity" of migrants. Thus, it again calls for measures to "accelerate the detention and expulsion of illegal migrants".

In jail Bacteria

Shortly after their start-up, in mid-August, they had to empty the floating prison Bibby Stockholm for health problems. Legionella bacteria were detected in the on-board water supply, which forced all migrants to be evicted.
