The Ehun movement is committed to public and decent pensions
  • Members of the Ehun movement have carried out a courtship with two coffins on their shoulders at the Social Security headquarters in Riberas de Loiola, “to denounce the continuing degradation of pensions and to say that the Basque Republic is necessary to have public and dignified pensions”.

As you can see from the video below, the frames have tried to enter the Social Security headquarters, but they have not been allowed. The Ehun movement has denounced the ‘privatisation of pensions’: ‘The continued degradation of pensions means, de facto, boosting the privatisation of pensions. It is clear that in Spain the economic benefits that private companies get at the expense of everyone’s money are more important than people’s well-being. In Spain pensions are dead,” they said in Riberas de Loiola.

At the end of the mobilization, they called for the Basque Republic: “The only option we Basques have for living is a Basque Republic that puts people above capital. The Basque Republic or death. We, the Basque Republic.”
