Today the third phase has begun in Ipar Euskal Herria. From 9 June, some of the restrictive measures imposed by the pandemic will become more flexible. The curfew will last until eleven o'clock in the evening, and it will be enough for the vaccination part to be delivered to go to Hego Euskal Herria. Hospitality and cultural classrooms will be expanded, and sports classrooms and other establishments will also be opened.
The curfew will last for two hours: it was set at 9 p.m., and will now be placed at 11 p.m. Mobility will also undergo an important change, since, unlike what has happened so far, the transition from Iparralde to Hego Euskal Herria will not require negative PCR tests by the fully integrated population. The presentation of the vaccination certificate shall suffice.
The terraces of bars and restaurants can be opened in all its capacity - previously in the centre - and also in its interiors, occupying only 50% of the seats. Six persons may be present at the same time and all customers shall be required to leave their name, surname and contact telephone number. Restaurants will thus be able to follow the cases of foodstuffs and their derivatives. If a user tests positive, the property must be notified, who may order PCR tests from the clients present.
Sports spaces will also be opened. Closed classrooms will be opened with a capacity of 50% and public sports areas with a capacity of 65%. If there are more than 1,000 people, the vaccination certificate will need to be issued and up to 5,000 people will be able to gather. As far as external sport is concerned, no more than 25 people will be able to accumulate.
The capacity of the cultural halls - museums, theatres and films - rises by up to 65%. Closed establishments and events will also be resumed: casinos, thalassotherapy areas and amusement parks and fairs.
The first phase began on 3 May in Iparralde and the second on 19 May. The latter began to make measures against the pandemic more flexible, opening terraces, extending the curfew to nine and expanding non-compulsory establishments. The fourth and final phase will be held on 30 June. At that moment the curfew will be removed and the capacity limit of public spaces will disappear.
