- Journalist Pablo González has been imprisoned in Poland for ten months without formal accusation by Poland. After three extensions of provisional imprisonment, the last in November, the defence lawyer regularly appeals. One of the main objectives of the association formed by family and friends of González is to raise funds to cover defense expenses.
#FreePablo González also wants to promote initiatives in favor of the journalist and channel the fight for his derechos.La president of the association is Oihana Goiriena, colleague of the journalist, and is formed by Maribel Martínez and Gabino Martínez. The spokesperson will be photojournalist Juan Teixeira, González's collaborator.
The complexity of the case and the hurdles of Polish justice have led the journalist's defenses to increase their expenses. Since his arrest he has the help of lawyer Gonzalo Boye and in April the next González was hired by Polish lawyer Bartosz Rogala. In addition, they have been served since October by an expert law firm.
