Until 13 May, the statistics have to be taken up again in order to find in the CAPV a higher number of coronavirus infections than the current one: 42 positive cases were recorded that day. Since then, except for some exceptions, the number of new positives has gone below 20... until 7 July: in the last three days 30, 30 and 31 new positives have been detected. However, the massive tests carried out in Ordizia must be taken into account in order to make the comparisons fair.

In the 31 new positives published on July 10, they correspond to Álava 5 (3 of them to Vitoria-Gasteiz), Bizkaia 8 (5 to Bilbao) and Ordizia 7 of the 18 in Gipuzkoa, the rest are scattered: In Donostia-San Sebastián 2 and Aretxabaleta, Beasain, Deba, Eskoriatza, Ibarra, Irun, Lasarte, Legazpi and Tolosa each.

As the eyes of the media and the public are on the focus of Gipuzkoa, it is worth observing the positive cumulative results in the last five days (since the news of the outbreak of Ordizia spread): In Gipuzkoa, 69 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in these five days, of which 36 have been detected among the population of Ordizia; 4 in Itsasondo; 3 in Tolosa e Irun; 3 in Donostia-San Sebastián; 2 in Eskoriatza e Ibarra; and 1 in Andoain, Aretxabaleta,

Outbreaks of Gipuzkoa and Álava during these days have put the reproduction rate Rt at 1.86%. Yesterday's Rt rate stood at 1.80 and was already twice as high as when Iñigo Urkullu called the elections to the Basque Parliament, as Urko Apaolaza recalled.
