On Thursday a number of citizens met to denounce the latest developments around the border. Following the Tour the pedestrian bridge was opened one day, but after re-crossing the race, they have been pressed again and strong police and military controls have been re-established.
The Thursday protest underlines the need to ensure "freedom of movement and safe roads for all". They stress that it has been a “shameful theatre” in recent days.
After the merger, the signatures begin to meet and mobilise by 22 July.
