The Antitaurine Platform of Gipuzkoa (GPA) is a movement created by “associations and political parties in favor of animals that believe that forces must be joined to pull bulls from our land”. The platform aims to form a single voice against bullfights and aims to be an umbrella that brings together the plurality and plurality around the theme.

The press conference was under the slogan ‘In Our Hands’, on July 20, at the City Hall of San Sebastian. The main objective of the press conference was to invite citizens to attend the demonstration. On August 13 at 18:00, antitaurine mobilization will take place from Boulevard Donostiarra. The platform denounces that the City of San Sebastian has made possible the holding of bulls in Ilunbe “without heeding the will of the people”. The City itself disseminates the surveys in which it has been ensured that the will of the citizens is clearly seen: the absence of bullfights.

The platform also denounces that the City Council does not intend to overcome the obstacle of the ban on consultation and that it is hiding behind this ban, avoiding its obligations. The City Hall of Donostia-San Sebastian has described the platform as regrettable the acceptance of animal abuse during the festivities, adding that it is not enough to leave the cumshots out of the official programming. He stresses that not doing more bullfights depends on the City Hall, but he does not stop doing so, but authorizes it and facilitates it.

The Gipuzkoa Anti-Taurine Platform was born because a "modern" society cannot accept animal abuse. The spokespeople say that bullfights are “prehistoric moths” and say that they will not give in until they disappear from our peoples.
