Last week I received a letter from Osasunbidea for a long-awaited quote. Although I didn't realize it at first, I was sent to the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra Hospital. Before I sent the letter, they called me on the phone and I made it clear to them that I didn't want to go to the place. Useless.

In our case, it is common to allocate resources to public health to private health, in this case to a hospital of Opus Dei. Despite the fact that the pandemic has shown us the need for public services, the Administration has continued to strengthen private services, without correcting the existing malpractice. And so, private health care has earned a lot of money with the COVID-19 outbreak.

We have had a historic opportunity to strengthen the public system, and we have made no effort to push it forward, either from the institutions or from the street. The rhythm of the street is modest, we have few assumptions about political work and the strength, weakened. So we started the pandemic and so we continued during and after the lockdown. We know that public health is essential, but this historic moment that has allowed us to defend it has caught us off the hook.

On the contrary, we have taken effective steps in other areas, although they have not been beneficial to all: the unions have endeavoured to defend the rights of teachers without meeting the needs of children, many officials have defended teleworking, without thinking that they too bear the responsibility for the proper functioning of public services and resources ... There have been major changes, not for everyone. Without believing in the whole public system, without working for it, we will be in vain. Meanwhile, in May 2021, and thanks to Osasunbidea, the Opus Dei hospital attends the consultations at 19:00 in the afternoon.
