The Department of Health of the Government of Navarra reported that 42 of the 2,300 doctors of the Health Service have renounced exclusivity, so they do not receive the premium for exclusive dedication to the public network, approximately 800 euros per month. LAB asked the department for the list of these doctors and he got it on Monday.

In the hand of the list, LAB denounces that ten doctors have received the exclusive prize and, in addition, they work as doctors in private clinics. They say from the union that this is illegal and that the situation is even more serious, because some of their doctors have responsibilities that require exclusivity.

The race has explained that these illegal practices are deeply rooted in Osasunbidea and has urged the Foral Government to carry out a thorough exploration of all cases. It also announces the complaint to the Office of Good Practice and Anti-Corruption.

To these cases now reported, we must add the case that the LAB published on 8 February, in which the Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Hospital García Orcoyen de Estella also received the exclusive prize and, at the same time, worked as a doctor in the private sphere.

In recent weeks, the issue of medical exclusivity in Navarre has been one of the demands used by the Navarro Medical Union for its strike, the collection of exclusivity and, at the same time, access to private clinics. The other trade unions are opposed to this request, because they understand that this is detrimental to the public service, and the Department of Health finally does not accept that request.

Strike 23 and demonstration 18

The labor dispute is topical in Osasunbidea and the major unions have called for a new strike by the 23rd day, as the offer made by the Department of Health does not fully meet their demands. Next Saturday the Navarra Health Platform also called a demonstration in Pamplona, at 17:30 in Golemeta. The majority of trade unions have shown their support for mobilisation.
