Where has Osasuna been left?

I'm Watch Exhibit and I'm 39 years old. Many years ago, a nightmare appeared in my life, I would say too much; it is called cancer. My father has been fighting cancer for 32 years. I have spent my whole life in hospitals, first in the San Sebastian Clinic, then in the Hospital of Basurto and in the last twelve years in the Hospital of Cruces. Since 2018 they have performed ten or twelve operations to their father, we have not been evacuated from Cruces Hospital, to put it mildly.

When the pandemic began, my father was admitted to Cruces Hospital. In July 2020, he spent ten days in the Resuscitation Unit, a hallway in which there was also no hydroalcoholic gel. It's really embarrassing. There are fewer and fewer workers at Cruces Hospital, but the sick are no less, they are much more. Last year was pretty bad health, but as we were in the pandemic, the tests were delayed, not just for my father, but for everyone.

We asked for an assessment of dependency and gave him the first grade. As a result, she is entitled to one-hour daily care, and a woman has gone home to provide her with a surveillance service. We have been very pleased with him and from here we would like to thank him for his service.

The year ended in emergency cases. Four days later they returned to the hospital, two weeks later we returned to the emergency room and a week later they returned to the hospital for another eight days. He had an MRI scan, and there was another large tumor. On February 17, he had surgery and thanks to the surgeons, thanks to the nurses, thanks to all the workers who were there.

I found out on the street of the existence of the socio-sanitary residences and asked for a place where to heal and put strength to my father. I refused. I filed a complaint and rejected it again, reasoning that its pathology is not susceptible to referral. A 77-year-old man, with his whole leg stitched, where his muscle was caught, and the lower part of his stomach stitched, where he had the tumor. In this way, however, it was not worth recovering a residence. Really amazing.

He finally came to my house to heal and take strength. The Provincial Council of Bizkaia has not been concerned about anything. Less bad than my father has been working for the Provincial Council for over 35 years… thank you. He didn't care if I had somewhere in my house to house my father. My house is small and I have to sleep on the couch. I have two daughters, over 7 years old and under 2 years old. My partner works in Madrid and does not come every weekend to Bilbao. And I'm down because I can't do it all. I can't. This system is destroying my health.

We received the results of the biopsy, and from there we returned directly to the oncologist. Angiosarcoma and epiteloid carzikoma were diagnosed with two more cancers. The world fell upon me. Their health goes wrong, including their mental health, which leads to a worsening of everyday life. I ask for an analysis of the dependency assessment, which I think deserves the second grade for some workers at the Cruces Hospital. Last Monday, the Deputy's doctor and the social service worker came to his home, and this is my surprise: they have not given him the second grade. Moreover, he has been removed from the first grade. According to the doctor, “I see him clearly and that is why I remove the degree of dependence”. My father is not able to wash, to wear stockings, to bend... Surprised, I was in a state of shock, and I remain the same. I have learned that the Member has hired a new company to carry out the dependency assessments, at first I thought they were workers of the Member but no, that is not the case. It's a private company, and after all, we're numbers for it, not people.

My father's life is over and I'm very sad, this bad dream is over and I'm afraid. Now the chemotherapy treatment starts and, unfortunately, there is a waiting list, the time is against it. Seeing that he is left with nothing, I will bring him to my house to take care of him. My house doesn't have an elevator and I'll quickly do a bathroom to suit my father. In order to apply for aid for the Bilbao City Council Adjustment Plan, you need to be registered for at least six months and do not receive the help of Gizakek without declaring the situation of dependency, in addition to being registered for at least two years. I now have the need to do the work, not in six months or two years, because by then it will be too late. I'm very sad. These are my father's last months and I have neither strength nor desire to take a long stand with the Member. I have to take care of my father, I want to be with him, not in the paperwork. If you have money in this system, you can recover it without money.
