The cleaning service staff subcontracted by Osakidetza has been on strike for more than two months. On Monday a camp begins in front of the Hospital de Cruces (Bizkaia). There they will spend the nights and stay 24 hours a day.

The objective is to standardize the working conditions of cleaning personnel with those of Osakidetza staff, to access career calls, to partially retire with a relay contract, to have a fairer and more objective system of vacancy coverage, among others.

LAB denounces to Health Advisor Gotzone Sagardui that the PNV's attitude is "offensive and shameful." In this labor conflict that has been open for more than a year, the Health Department says it has looked "the other way", showing "total indifference and contempt" towards the workers. LAB also says that the Osakidetza Director has not extended the response to formal meeting requests.
