The judge agrees with the complaint lodged by the CAV Satse nursing union, which states that it has violated the right to negotiate workers, and Sats recalls that this is the third time that Osakidetza has been convicted for this reason. “This shows that Osakidetza does not have a democratic position.”
In the first wave of the pandemic, Osakidetza changed the working conditions of the workers, and then the union also denounced the situation. The courts concluded that the state of alarm is not the reason why the right to collective bargaining is suspended.
They have now again condemned Osakidetza for “failing to respect the agreements agreed at the Sectoral Bureau”. In addition, the judge considers that the equal treatment of workers has been violated, considering that nurses receive discriminatory treatment with respect to the conditions that govern their performance.
