The Francoist monument of Arta, in Ondarroa (Bizkaia), has been demolished by the Basque police. It is a monument built in 1958 by the Franco city council in collaboration with the Provincial Council.

It paid tribute to the names of the Ondarreses who died on the Franco Balearic warship in 1936, with the phrase “To the Ondarreses who will inherit their life for God and for Spain on the Balearic cruise”.
