First of all, we disagree with this model of imposed opposition, since the ability of teachers cannot be evaluated through an impersonal memoristic process, since teaching is a combination of multiple competencies that cannot be demonstrated in these exams. For this reason, at STEILAS we have been reclaiming other opportunities to provide stability to employees.
It is clear that every year there are different results depending on the conditions of the people who present themselves, but it is noteworthy that the presence of oppositions every two years exacerbates such imbalances. With this in mind, it is expected that this time a significant number of positions will not be provided, at about 25 per cent of the posts. At STEILAS we are clear that these bad results have many different causes, and the most significant of them is the inadequate development of these opposition that has been carried out. For this reason, we demand that the department of education: that the exams are not exclusive, that they renew their aptitudes and curricula, that they guarantee the transparency of the procedure of correction and revision.
In addition, we would like to remind you that the members of the Tribunal are suffering from a heavy workload and stress and that their working conditions are essential for the proper performance of their work. In any case, we recommend making a claim if you do not agree with the result received.
Finally, we remind you that if you do not agree with the result received, it is advisable to file a claim, after that and when the lists become definitive, there is a period of one month to file an appeal. If this also does not provide benefits within three months, the last option would be to file a contentious administrative appeal within two months.
For all these reasons, it is clear that it is time for the administration to negotiate everything that has been mentioned with the workers’ representatives so that we can have a more legitimate and realistic opposition procedure.
