According to Olatukoop in the manifesto published on March 15, "this health crisis has brought to the forefront a series of issues that we work especially in our community company and in our ongoing projects: the centrality of care, the fragility of individualism with the transforming force of the community, the importance of sewing diverse networks of people/companies/institutions, the collective resilience with the privatizations of local services, the need for dynamic consolidation of citizenship.
As they have denounced, "it is becoming evident that the capitalist economic model, which prevails hegemonically in many areas, does not serve to maintain the habitable and sustainable lives in this world". Olatukoop stressed that "there is another way, and through practice we are seeing that this is possible."
Olatukoop and the Community companies that make up it have listed the steps they have already taken: Olatukoop has interrupted all the classroom projects in which he participates. Companies have prioritized work from home and have established ways to do it, "with the aim of combining work with care and health". As explained, companies have also gone further: "Given the priorities, we have put our lives ahead of the economy by assuming that the labour commitments we have at our fingertips can be delayed." And the companies of the Olatukoop network have supported each other.
The manifesto stresses that "we are facing a crisis that is intensifying day by day" and that, therefore, in the coming days, they will deepen cooperation. It also pointed out that the companies belonging to the Olatukoop network are from very different sectors and each of them has a "different adaptability" in the face of this crisis, according to the sector in which it works. "Aware of this, we will try to meet the needs that arise through inter-cooperation," Olatukoop said to journalists.
They have announced the implementation of mutualism tools among Community companies: "We understand that the economy is at the service of life and therefore we will study the resources of Olatukoop and those of our network, taking steps to get out of the crisis."
They also stressed that they would participate in the networks that are being organized in the streets, in the neighborhoods and in the cities. In addition, they have shown their willingness to share the tools and resources of the Olatukoop network to "impact where we can be useful".
Finally, he called on individuals and groups to: "The public institutions have a responsibility to outline the main measures that we will take as a people and as a people. But beyond that, as individuals and collectives, it is up to us all to make commitments and to overcome the emergency situation as best as possible. The solution will be Community, based on solidarity built collectively".
