How does COVID-19 kill?
Lore R 2020ko ekainaren 08a

Yes, COVID-19 is deadly, but what's the most dangerous? The virus itself or the behavior of the French government to "protect us from the virus"?

My husband is at risk of dying from COVID-19. It has no virus. A bacterium attacks her and puts her at risk of death.

However, in France, and in the Basque Country, there is only one word in the field of health: coronavirus. Right or wrong, that's not my conversation. I am concerned about this obsession that inhibits any reflection. The symptoms of the flu, myalgia and stomach pain, and the doctor no longer comes home. In his office he collected the patient and his anguish, the woman of the patient and his misfortune, and answered the tormented patient: "Take a Doliprane, run the test and get off."

By phone the yellow color of the skin does not appear, the tension is not measured. High, it's a protocol.

From this phone call, the only thing that matters is whether it is a new case to be included in the long list of the Regional Health Agency. So, without power, I see my man weaken. Now, parents replace teachers, relatives replace doctors. The weaker ones are helping by far, which pulls us a little further away from humanity every day.

I immediately understood that I would have to recognize the right time to call the SAMU, but only if it has "breathing difficulties". I and I alone. No one will come home anymore. We've become harmful. And no “breathing difficulties,” no SAMU. Since when is a person in breathing difficulties? Is it perhaps two metres from the point of view of services and the two-hour pass? No, I'm told it's the benchmark. Call the SAMU if it gets worse. I can sleep quietly with the indication that it's supposed to be medical. I'll have to call the SAMU when the rhythm signal of a three-hour march ... It's a protocol.

They emit a helicopter with doctors on board. If there is COVID-19 or risk to it, the hospital cannot disinfect. The helicopter will leave empty. It's a protocol.

The same day after calling SAMU: -Ma'am, does your husband have trouble breathing? "Am I a doctor? It's wrong, help me." In the end, the lambs have come home. Three Red Cross volunteers. They're not doctors. These men measure constant, and then they call SAMU doctors. These, in the last hour, decide to be hospitalized. It's a protocol.

So everything goes faster: they send a helicopter inside with the doctors. If there is COVID-19 or risk to it, the hospital cannot disinfect. The helicopter will leave empty. It's a protocol.

Protocol? The French Government and the Lehendakari claim that the health protocols protect us from the coronavirus, which we must follow, in our own good. So why don't hospitals be given the chance to save us?

In the end I get results by phone: It's not COVID-19! However, my husband is at the point of death, he is in a critical state of resuscitation. Neither I nor his family are entitled to see. It's a protocol.

Would they have saved him if he had arrived at the hospital earlier? I don't know. What I've learned is that living with the fear and excitement of this evil puts our lives in the Algiers. It kills no more than COVID-19.
