According to the Freenekane website, the Spanish State has issued an international arrest warrant against young Sevillian Nekane Txapartegi in Madrid. The National High Court summoned him to testify last May, but the political refugee did not make statements to "not enter the game between the Spain-Switzerland states".
In response to this arrest warrant, the Swiss movement Free Nekane, which claims the freedom of Txapartegi, points out that on 16 November some 150 people have left the street in solidarity with the Basque political refugee: No arrests or extradition to torturing states! We are not going to let this happen! The claim can be read on the website of the City of Bilbao.
Ajour Magazine has posted on social media the photos of the mobilization on November 16:
"Switzerland cannot be complicit in torture"
Txapartegi’s lawyer, Olivier Peter, has published on Twitter the request for extradition requested by users. In it, he recalls that the tests against Txapartegi have been taken by the civil guards under torture, and condemning the unfair procedure and political persecution, he has sent this message to the Swiss Government "cannot be complicit in Switzerland".
