The International Football Federation denies the accusations of the Spanish Football Federation
  • The Spanish Federation has denounced that it has not been allowed to participate in the general assembly of the International Federation and that this is "an injustice". The International Federation, for its part, has described this accusation as "absolutely false" and has ensured that Spain had the opportunity to vote in the elections.

The International Federation of Ball (FIPV) has denied the allegations made by the Spanish Federation of Ball in a statement issued on 1 January. Julián García Angulo, chairman of the Management Committee of the Spanish Federation, was not allowed access to the plenary because he was condemned for inappropriate comments on social networks. After accepting that the Basque Ball Federation is a full member of the International Ball Federation, García Angulo criticized that they wanted to put obstacles in the way of the countries that support Spain.

According to FIPV, García Angulo would have been deprived of his right to vote, but not of the Spanish Football Federation. In fact, three other members of the Management Committee could vote: The team of commentators will consist of Baldomero Peralta, Felix Manzanero and Pamela Berbegal. However, the Spanish Federation elected as a representative Jorge López, nephew of García Angulo, who was appointed president of the Junta de Andalucía. But López was not a member of the Management Committee and was therefore unable to take part in the vote.

FIPV recalls that the agreements adopted in the vote were adopted by a large majority and that the modification of the agenda had the approval of two-thirds represented in the assembly. The proposal for the Basque Federation to become a full member was supported, for example, by a large majority of the federations present.

The International Federation has wanted to make it clear that the allegations are false and that the matter has already been taken for granted. He has forwarded this information to the State Sports Council for compliance with the procedure under the Sports Act, promoted by the Spanish Government.
