The National Court has approved the opening of procedures for the re-search of José Miguel Etxeberria, Naparra, the family said. He disappeared in 1980 during the Dirty War.
The lawyer Iñigo Iruin, brother of Eneko Etxeberria Naparra and president of the Basque Memory Foundation Iñaki Egaña, will give a press conference today in San Sebastián to report on the situation.
Naparra, a suspected member of the Autonomous Commandos, was 22 years old when he disappeared in June 198. He was last seen in Zibu.
In October 2016, the case was reopened by the National Hearing, when the family provided data on the “exact location of the body” in Landes, France, to find out.
Iñaki Errazkin explained that a former member of the Spanish secret services (Cesid) gave him information about the location of Naparra's body and a "detailed sketch".
The UN declared the case of "forced disappearance", so the case of Naparra is not subject to a statute of limitations.
