Navarre will make its measures more flexible from Friday
  • The closure of hotel establishments will be delayed until 12 p.m. and the allowable capacity for sporting and cultural events will be extended. In Ipar Euskal Herria and in the CAV, the measures to be applied will also be made more flexible.

The Government of Navarra, as of 18 June, will implement new measures in hospitality and other sectors of the foral community. The closure of the hotel will be delayed between 11:00 pm and 12:00 pm, increasing the capacity from 30 to 50%. In the case of cultural activities, the capacity will be 60%. These decisions will be in force until 1 July.

In addition to extending openness for one hour, bars and restaurants will be able to participate up to six people at each table. They must respect a safety distance of 70 centimeters between them and two meters between the other tables. In the case of hotels, the maximum capacity of common areas will be 60%, and in establishments that organise special events such as celebrations, communions, battalions, weddings, etc. 50 people will be allowed inside and 100 others outside.

New measures in cultural and sports activities

In the case of libraries, museums and exhibition halls, the capacity will be 60%, and the maximum capacity will be 300 people. In theatres, theatres and auditoriums, for their part, those approaching will have to have pre-allocated seats. These cultural events can be organized until 12 noon.

The public will be allowed in sports activities with a maximum capacity of 50%. The capacity will be 300 people indoors and 600 people outdoors. The pools will be opened until 10 p.m. and will have a capacity of 60%, except in changing rooms and showers, where the capacity will be 50%.

Other sectors are also being modified in the approved forums. The capacity will be 60% in non-regulated academies and schools, and 40% in peƱas and gastronomic societies. Multipurpose spaces may be occupied at 50%, as well as bingos, playrooms and the like.

Northern Basque Country and CAPV

In Ipar Euskal Herria, as of today it will not be necessary to use a face mask abroad, in addition to in a few places where there are crowds of people (fairs or specific sports shows). On the other hand, in Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, lehendakari Urkullu has called LABI for next Monday 18 June to decide if the measures will be relaxed: opening of establishments until 1 pm, capacity of 6 people on hospitality tables, opening of "txokos" and authorization of sports activities for the public, among others.
